Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Complytio’s websites, applications and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, starting a trial or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of the business you represent.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Complytio helps hospitality teams organise food safety checks, temperatures, documents, corrective actions, training and related due-diligence records. Features available to you depend on your plan and configuration.
Important: Complytio is a records and workflow tool. It does not provide legal advice, does not guarantee that you will pass an EHO inspection or achieve any hygiene rating, and is not a substitute for professional food safety advice. You remain responsible for complying with food law and your own policies.
Accounts and workspaces
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. Workspace administrators are responsible for users they invite, for permissions they grant, and for content uploaded to the workspace.
You must ensure you have the right to process any personal data you enter (for example staff names) and that your use complies with data protection law. Our Privacy Policy describes how we process data as a platform provider.
Trials, fees and billing
Paid plans and trials are described on the pricing page. Trials may require a payment method via Stripe. Unless you cancel before the trial ends using the billing tools provided, your subscription may convert to a paid plan.
Fees are charged in the currency shown at checkout. Taxes may apply. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a paid period begins. Enterprise and custom agreements may supersede these commercial terms.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service: no unlawful content, no attempts to breach security or multi-tenant isolation, no scraping that degrades the Service, no reverse engineering except where permitted by law, and no resale of the Service without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, or risk to the platform or other customers.
Customer content
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to provide and secure the Service, including backups and support when authorised.
You are responsible for maintaining any records required by law outside the Service and for exporting data you need before cancellation.
Intellectual property
Complytio, the product design, software and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our IP to you.
Availability and changes
We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify features, plans and these Terms; material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except those that cannot be excluded under UK law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data (beyond our obligations to provide the Service with reasonable care), or indirect or consequential loss. Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or £100 if greater when no fees were paid), except where liability cannot be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel paid plans via the billing tools or by contacting support as directed in-product. We may terminate for breach or to shut down the Service with reasonable notice where practicable.
Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, liability limits and governing law) survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction to protect our IP or security.
